If you have been on Twitter lately then I’m sure you have seen this new and interesting trend called Number Neighbor. What is a Number Neighbor you ask? It is when someone has almost the same exact number as you but is only one number off. For example, if my number was 909-289-0288 my two number neighbors would be 909-289-0287 and 909-289-0289.
Now that you have this information, all there is left to do is to text your number neighbor.
Hundreds have already tried this trend, receiving hilarious, offensive, or no replies at all.
Many conversations have lasted only two minutes while others have gone on for days. In some cases, number neighbors have left voicemails determined to figure out who exactly is their number neighbor.
Of course, it’s only right to post your conversation with your number neighbor online or else, did it really happen? No. The answer is no.
If you thought texting your number neighbor was enough, fans of the trend have even gone as far as photoshopping celebrities pictures onto the screenshot to make it look like their number neighbor was Justin Beiber or Chris Evans. I can’t make this stuff up.
All in all, if you haven’t texted or called your number neighbor yet, what are you waiting for? The worst they can do is not reply, block you, or threaten to call the cops on you.
Be safe out there, kids.
